Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Daily prayer for June 23

The Sacred Heart of Jesus is considered to be the principal sign and symbol of that Trinitarian Love with which the divine Redeemer unceasingly loves his eternal Father and the Holy Spirit. It is a love in harmony from which powerful radiations are emitted towards all humanity. It is a symbol of Love that he shares with the Father and the Holy Spirit but which, only through the wound of the Incarnate Word, manifested itself through that scourged and dying body on the Cross, with which he restored the faith of humanity. In the daily prayer for June 23, we also ask that, in these difficult times, our faith may be restored and we may walk confidently in that Holy Love.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus, which enriches the human soul, is the Throne of Divine Mercy, revealed to the world through the fragility of Christ´s death and the power of his resurrection.

We can honor the Heart of the divine Redeemer as a symbolic image of his infinite love for us. It is like a kind of mystical staircase by which we climb into the embrace of God the Father. Daily Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

For the daily prayer for June 23, let us ask God that the faith we lost may be completely restored through His love for us.

Beloved Father, today I come to you to confess something you already know in advance: my faith is broken. I have walked in uncertain directions without taking you into account in my life, and that has cost me dearly. Today I feel myself fading away. I feel like I´ve lost the horizon.

So much pain, sorrow, emotional seizures, collapsed things inside me and I have ended up on a downward slope towards the loss of my faith. I bow my head to you, Lord. In times of despair, I am learned that there is no greater comfort than you.

Many times I pretended to trust You, I took it for granted that You are all love and that no matter what my bad deeds, You would always be there to support me. The truth is, YES, You are all love, but it was I who turned away from Your grace. I ask You to forgive me for all the ways I deceived myself in this way.

Forgive me, Father, for having tried to control all things in my own way, without believing that your Divinity could intervene in my affairs. Forgive me for all the false security I placed in myself and in my own strength to trust and believe that I could do everything on my own.

All my actions taken away from You, led me to circumstances that accustomed me to feel disappointed, abandoned, betrayed. I felt that I never had anyone to count on but myself, to never find support, guidance, help or comfort.

I pray for forgiveness, Lord, and also to learn to forgive myself. Tear out of my heart all those unpleasant patterns of behavior that led me to a life of emptiness and despair, where I lost faith because of my own bad actions and decisions.

Having asked me for forgiveness, I now turn to You, my Father, to ask You to restore my FAITH. Free me from the arrogance of believing only in my own strength. Free me from the hopelessness, isolation, despair and pain

If it is your will, Father, I pray that you will give me the courage to let go and leave my pain behind. Give me the courage to trust again and have greater faith and confidence in your actions upon my life, and the courage to treasure those past emotional wounds as life lessons for my future decisions.

Dear Lord, I pray that you will make me understand that, in order to live my faith, I must have you present in every moment of my life, and never again rely on my own strength, without linking it to yours. Amen.

So many things I have asked of You, O Sacred Heart of Jesus, but this I implore of You, I ask it earnestly. Take it, place it in your open Heart, present it to the Father wrapped in your precious blood. Let it no longer be my prayer, but yours. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you. I know I won´t be disappointed. Amen.

Daily Prayer intentions for June 23.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in your power and strength so that you may restore faith in me. I have lost my faith, but I am back on the road to let myself be guided by your love and be strengthened through the various situations you have prepared for me which, I trust, are for my good.

Do you feel that you have lost your faith? God is expert at restoring the faith of those who have allowed themselves to be enveloped by the apathy of the world and by the consequences of its tragedies.
