Pope Francis exhorts us to an interior revision of the heart and tells us that it is not the moment of your judgment, but of our judgment

In an emotional message sent through his Twitter account, Pope Francis exhorts us to an inner revision of our hearts. "It is not the time of your judgment, but of our judgment," is a call from the Pope to know how to discern what is pleasing to God.

Without a doubt, humanity is living through some very distressing moments due to the coronavirus pandemic that has spread throughout the planet and has claimed thousands of lives worldwide, especially those of our beloved elderly.

Through his extraordinary blessing Urbi et Orbi, held on March 27, Pope Francis wanted to express his closeness through a unique moment of prayer, a historical moment in the Church, SOLEMN and full of contrition.

In a completely desolate St. Peter´s Square, we were able to appreciate a moment full of true contrition, and although the square looked deserted, the hearts and prayers of all the faithful were made to be felt in a unique and special way. A true act of universal communion, it led all Catholics to feel as if we were right there in St. Peter´s Square, accompanying our beloved Pope Francis

One day after this solemn act, in which all the faithful who were willing received the plenary indulgence, Pope Francis continued to meditate on our situation, on what is happening to us and which still maintains a climate full of anguish and anxiety.

Pope Francis, through this new message that he sent us through his Twitter account this March 28th, wants us to look inside ourselves and gives us these words:

"It is not the time of your judgement, but of our judgement: a time to choose what matters and what passes away, a time to separate what is necessary from what is not. It is a time to get our lives back on track with regard to you, Lord, and to others."

In addition, the Pope gave us a small video with a brief silent summary of what happened yesterday at the Urbi et Orbi blessing.

We are now called to look within ourselves, to look at the depths of our hearts and leave those personal judgements, to separate that which distances us from God and seek a true personal relationship with Him.

This is not the time for your judgment, but for our judgment, as Pope Francis says. It is time to look at that which we keep in our heart and purify ourselves of that which leads to our salvation.
