Lord God, I confess that sometimes I get desperate when things don´t turn out the way I expected. Therefore, give me the grace of perseverance, that I may be constant in the things I do and in the face of any eventuality I may be able to overcome. I must be aware that failures are experiences that should motivate me and not make me faint. I trust in your protection and direction in my life. Amen.

Daily Gospel for November 24. Luke 21,5-11.
Daily readings Tuesday, Gospel for November 24 (The precursory signs of the end of the world offered by the Lord): "At that time, When some were talking about the Temple, remarking how it was adorned with fine stonework and votive offerings, Jesus said, "All these things you are staring at now, the time will come when not a single stone will be left on another: everything will be destroyed." And they put to him this question: "Master," they said "when will this happen, then, and what sign will there be that this is about to take place?" "Take care not to be deceived," he said "because many will come using my name and saying, "I am he" and, "The time is near at hand." Refuse to join them. And when you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened, for this is something that must happen but the end is not so soon." Then he said to them, "Nation will fight against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes and plagues and famines here and there; there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven". Daily Readings reflection, by Pope Francis.
"Pope Francis: Christians should not be afraid of the end of the world"
In the daily Readings, we see that, in the final upheaval of the world, the stakes are higher than the drama represented by natural calamities.
When Jesus speaks of these calamities in another passage he tells us that there will be a desecration of the temple, a desecration of the faith, of the people: that there will be an abomination, there will be a desolation of the abomination. What does that mean? It will be like the triumph of the prince of this world: the defeat of God. It seems that he, in that final moment of calamities, seems to take possession of this world, will be the master of the world.
Here is the heart of the final test: the desecration of faith. Which, among other things, is very evident, given the suffering of the prophet Daniel, thrown into the lions´ den for having worshiped God instead of the king. Therefore, the desolation of the abomination has a precise name, the prohibition of worship.
You can´t talk about religion, it´s a private thing, isn´t it? It is not spoken of publicly. Religious signs are removed. One must obey orders from worldly powers.
One can do so many things, beautiful things, but not worship God. Prohibition of worship. This is the center of this end. And when He reaches the fullness, the kairos of this pagan attitude, when this time is fulfilled, then yes, He will come: "And you shall see the Son of man coming on a cloud with great power and glory".
Christians who suffer times of persecution, times of prohibition of worship are a prophecy of what will happen to us all. And yet, at the moment when the times of the pagans will have been fulfilled, it will be time to raise our heads because the victory of Jesus Christ will be near.
Let us not be afraid; He alone asks for our faithfulness and patience. Fidelity like Daniel, who has been faithful to his God and has worshipped God until the end. And patience because the hairs on our head will not fall. This is what the Lord has promised. (Daily Readings reflection, Saint Martha, November 28, 2013.).
Daily Prayer for Gospel.
Beloved Father, in my weaknesses, how will I face life´s problems? The shadows haunt me; but your word of life ignites in me a spark of hope. You make me feel that I am not alone, that I will not lack strength. As I wait for that day of your coming, I must prepare myself by living in your grace, in your love. I will not fear if I keep doing your will, who can separate me from your love? Amen. (Healing with the serenity prayer for daily readings and Holy Gospel)
The Pope´s daily quotation.
"We were not created to dream about vacations or the weekend, but to make God’s dreams come true in this world. God made us capable of dreaming, so that we could embrace the beauty of life. The works of mercy are the most beautiful works in life". Pope Francis.
