Holy Daily Gospel - Readings for saturday, july 11, 2020. Reflection by Pope Francis. Matthew 19:27-29. Daily reflection for holy Gospel

Daily Gospel - Readings for july 11, 2020, saturday. Pope Reflection.

Daily Gospel - Readings for july 11, 2020.

Reading for saturday.

Memory of: St. Benedict of Nursia

Proverbs 2:1-9.

My son, if you take my words to heart, if you set store by my commandments, tuning your ear to wisdom, and applying your heart to truth: yes, if your plea is for clear perception, if you cry out for discernment, if you look for it as if it were silver, and search for it as for buried treasure, you will then understand what the fear of the Lord is, and discover the knowledge of God. For the Lord himself is giver of wisdom, from his mouth issue knowledge and discernment. He keeps his help for honest men, he is the shield of those whose ways are honourable; he stands guard over the paths of justice, he keeps watch on the way of his devoted ones. Then you will understand what virtue is, justice, and fair dealing, all paths that lead to happiness

Daily Psalm for saturday.

Psalm 33(34):2-1

"I will bless the Lord at all times." (R).

Taste and see that the Lord is good. I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise always on my lips; in the Lord my soul shall make its boast. The humble shall hear and be glad. (R).

Glorify the Lord with me. Together let us praise his name. I sought the Lord and he answered me; from all my terrors he set me free. (R).

Look towards him and be radiant; let your faces not be abashed. This poor man called, the Lord heard him and rescued him from all his distress. (R).

The angel of the Lord is encamped around those who revere him, to rescue them. Taste and see that the Lord is good. He is happy who seeks refuge in him. (R).

Revere the Lord, you his saints. They lack nothing, those who revere him. Strong lions suffer want and go hungry but those who seek the Lord lack no blessing. (R).

Daily Gospel Acclamation.

"Alleluia, alleluia! How happy are the poor in spirit: theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Alleluia!" (Cfr. Mt 5:3)

Daily Gospel for july 11. Matthew 19:27-29.

#dailygospel Daily Gospel reading for saturday, july 11 (He who follows Jesus by leaving everything will receive a hundred times more): "At that time, Peter spoke to Jesus. "What about us?" he said. "We have left everything and followed you. What are we to have, then?" Jesus said to him, "I tell you solemnly, when all is made new and the Son of Man sits on his throne of glory, you will yourselves sit on twelve thrones to judge the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children or land for the sake of my name will be repaid a hundred times over, and also inherit eternal life.".

Daily Gospel reflection by Pope Francis.

In the reading of the daily Gospel, we observe that whoever sets out on the path following Christ finds life in abundance, placing himself entirely at the disposal of God and his kingdom. Jesus says: "Whoever leaves house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands for my sake will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life" (Mt 19:29). The deep root of all this is love...

[...] A vocation is always an action of God which brings us out of our initial situation, frees us from every form of slavery, brings us out of routine and indifference and projects us towards the joy of communion with God and with our brothers. To respond to God´s call, therefore, is to allow Him to lead us out of our false stability and to set us on the path towards Jesus Christ, the beginning and end of our life and our happiness.

This dynamic of the Exodus does not refer only to the personal call, but to the missionary and evangelizing action of the whole Church.

[...] The Church which evangelizes goes out to meet people, announces the liberating word of the Gospel, heals with God´s grace the wounds of soul and body, and comes to the aid of the poor and needy.

[...] The Christian vocation, rooted in the contemplation of the Father´s heart, leads at the same time to a commitment to solidarity for the liberation of our brothers and sisters, especially the poorest. The disciple of Jesus´ heart is open to his unlimited horizon, and his intimacy with the Lord is never an escape from life and from the world, but on the contrary, it is essentially a missionary communion.

[...] The Gospel is the Word which liberates, transforms and makes our life more beautiful. How beautiful it is to allow oneself to be surprised by God´s call, to welcome his word, to channel the steps of your life in the footsteps of Jesus, in adoration of the divine mystery and in generous dedication to others. Your life will be richer and more joyful every day. (Daily Gospel reflection. Message for the World Day for Vocations. April 14, 2015)

Daily Gospel Prayer.

Father of goodness, I may not yet fully know what the purpose is that you have designed for me, but I am sure that it will always be much better than what I can plan. Stay by my side and show me the path to your salvation. Where and when I am at this moment is exactly where You want me to be to bless me with special grace. Help me Lord, to go little by little conquering a little piece of land there in Heaven, because it is well known by all Christians that at the end of our days that is what will count, not my prestige, wealth, power or beauty, but all the effort and love I put into winning souls for You. Amen.

The Pope´s daily quotation.

"Only when we experience God´s forgiveness are we truly reborn. Forgiveness allows us to begin again; there we find ourselves: in the confession of our sins". (Pope Francis, 08.13.2019)

Daily porpose.

Today, I want to make a firm resolution to master anxiety and fear by trusting more in God´s love. The Letter to the Philippians 4:6-7, has a message for you.
